Hello seekers,One of the featured “Things We Love” links in this month’s newsletter is “The joy of clutter,” by Alicia Cox Thomson for Maclean’s. It’s a (surprisingly brief) tribute to maximalism and why it’s resonating with shoppers today. “Maximalists seek out stories, collecting bits of history that make them happy,” Thomson writes. “There’s also an element of slow design—taking your time because you have time.” Priscilla Verissimo (pictured below), founder of Instagram page Girl, It’s Thrifted, could be called a maximalist. She’s thrifted almost every piece in her Gatineau, Que. house — a collection built up over time, carefully selected from the annals of history that are thrift store shelves. Priscilla shares her secondhand shopping tips with us below. Have some insight or advice that you want to share with the vintage and resale community? Let me know! — Kristina
