Thinking Pink“We made some mistakes and changed our plan over and over, but got to where we are now with success.”Those are the words of Kelly Watson, co-owner of Pink Bubblegum Vintage, a storefront in St. Catharines, Ont. Kelly and her business partner and friend, Rhondi Bruce, opened their vintage clothing and decor boutique in June 2021, against a challenging season for retail. Kelly & Rhondi shared their learnings thus far as shopkeepers in an interview with The Vintage Seeker (linked below). After a year in business, they share how they lean on one another for support, how they try to go with the flow and how they create experiences that have turned their customers into regulars. I’m taking a lot of their advice to heart ahead of my own upcoming launch. The Vintage Sellers Community opens its virtual doors in October! More on that below. I’m excited to share that we’re nearing 150 names on the waitlist — if you’re a seller and interested in joining, please add yours! Like Kelly and Rhondi at Pink Bubblegum, I started out with a plan that continually evolves as I go — but that’s all part of the journey, isn’t it? Yours in community, Kristina
